Labor Day Apps For The Grill Master

4 Sep , 2015

Labor Day is here!  Hope you are ready to relax, fire up the grill and celebrate.

To help you out, I’ve got the three best grilling apps.

The Pit Pal BBQ App (Free on iOS and Android): The Pit Pal was ranked by USA Today as one of the “Top 10 apps for Dad”.   No matter who is firing up the the grill this weekend, the app is chalk full of features to help make sure the BBQ is amazing.  And at Pit Pal, they take BBQ seriously!  Food notifications, temperature notifications, graphing meat temperatures and detailed process notes are all part of the glory of The Pit Pal.

BBQ Tank Meter App ($2.46 on Android): Get ready to be impressed.  This might be the most useful app for the everyday griller– because you’ll never run out of propane unknowingly again.  Simply open the app, hold your phone close to the tank and whack the tank with a spoon or spatula.  Yes, really!  The app listens to the resonance inside and acoustically measures the amount of propane in your tank.  Pretty cool, huh?

iGrill App & Device (App is free, but device is $99): If you are looking for more than just an app, iGrill is for you.  It is a complete barbecue and grill monitoring system.  Probes connect to your phone and you insert them into whatever you are grilling and set up the app.  Users are then notified when the food reaches the desired temperature! How’s that for convenient!?

Any other grilling apps out there that you love to use?  Let us know in the comments!
