Connect with Businesses and Politicians Directly!

15 Jun , 2017

When something goes wrong, whether its with your laptop or your local community, it can be hard to get in touch with the people with actual answers; well that’s all about to change!  Apple and Facebook are releasing new features to help us better connect with the right answers at the right time.

APPLE “BUSINESS CHAT”:  The days of calling and getting stuck on hold with a company for hours might soon be over.  Soon, if you have a pressing question for a business, you will be able to contact them directly through iMessage! With the new “Business Chat” feature coming in iOS 11, Apple has announced that users will be able to easy search for businesses to contact and iMessage them directly via their iPhone, iPad and even their Apple Watch! Users will also be able to use Apple pay to complete transactions through the same device, so now everything can happen in one convenient place.

FACEBOOK PUBLIC OFFICE TAGGING: In recent years Facebook has become a go-to platform for posting complaints about politicians, regardless of their political views or where they’re from. Well now, instead of just stepping up on soapboxes and shouting, Facebook users will finally have the tools to do more. Facebook is developing a feature that will allow users to easily tag their representative or a specific political figure’s page. This will not directly notify whomever is tagged, but will link to their official page, where all their contact information is readily available. Facebook hopes that this functionality drives a deeper interest in local and national politics and creates a stronger connection between the issues and the people. To tag a public figure in a post, simply go down to “Feeling/Activity“, scroll down until you see “Contacting“, and a list of your local and national politicians will be right there!

Will 2017 be the year of finding answers? Regardless, connecting to the ones with the answers just got much easier!
